The Rotate Hands checkbox gives you the ability to make a set of deals in which the hands are moved one seat clockwise after every 16 deals. When checked, this checkbox only affects the deals when you are generating from a deal shaper or a recipe via a Generate button (including The Red Button). It has no effect when generating random deals or when loading deals/shapers/recipes from a file, or when generating 16 or fewer deals.
To get a complete set of deals for one configuration defined in a shaper or recipe, set Dealer and Vulnerability to “rotate,” set Number of Deals to 64, and check the Rotate Hands checkbox before generating. This will give all 16 dealer/vulnerability combinations for each of 4 hand arrangements.
This checkbox is provided as a convenience to let you create all 64 variations on a deal, or on a theme expressed in a recipe, at one time so you can save all of them to one file. You can create similar sets without using the “Rotate Hands” checkbox by generating 16 deals (from a shaper or recipe) with all dealer/vulnerability combinations, then clicking the swurvy-curvy button in the Recipe Maker panel one time to move the hands one seat clockwise, then generating 16 more deals, and so on until you have made four sets of 16; but when you do that, you need to save off each set of 16 deals into a separate file.
